And the 2009 R&B Soul Search winner is. . .

The 2009 McDonald's R&B Soul Search winner was crowned at The Loft (3112 Olive Blvd.) on June 19th. After months of auditions and competition rounds, the finalists took stage one last time to compete for the title. The finale was a female dominated arena, from which a very strong and fierce competitor emerged.

Katrina Reece, who competed in the first year of the McDonald's R&B (2005) claimed the title which slipped though her fingers four years ago. The standing room only crowd was blown away by her performance. She had the look, personality, stage presence and voice to come out on top. Her grand prize package includes a concert performance at the Suite Soul Spot Concert Series, $1,000 cash, a professional photo shoot with Suzy Gorman and studio time at Phat Buddha Studios. Congratulations Katrina!

For the last four years, McDonald’s and Radio One have partnered up to bring the pioneer of annual singing competitions to St. Louis. The McDonald’s R&B Soul Search is held at The Loft nightclub, located at 3112 Olive Blvd.
