McDonald’s Academic Excellence Award Scholarship

Calling all Greater St. Louis-area high school seniors! McDonald’s of Greater St. Louis and the Metro East is now accepting applications for the 2017 Academic Excellence Award Scholarship Program through
March 28.

The McDonald’s Academic Excellence Award Scholarship is a one-time, $3,000 scholarship that, in partnership with the UNCF, is awarded to college-bound St. Louis and Metro East high school seniors. McDonald’s values education and offers scholarships to empower area youth and provide resources to help them attend college. This year’s scholarship total will exceed $70,000.

To qualify, high school seniors must complete the application package, online, which consists of an application (submitting all required fields, essay, and attachments) and recommendations from two (2) teachers, or one (1) teacher and one (1) counselor/principal, community service leader who are familiar with the student’s academic performance and involvement in school and community service. Students must use the “Invite Reference” button located on the scholarship “Application Status” page.

Because providing service to the communities in which we live is important to McDonald’s and the UNCF, scholarship recipients must provide proof of volunteer service hours implemented over the 2016/2017 school year.
